Afterschool

PS 179 is a Community School, and with it comes the Leadership Program, bringing in multiple Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and partnering with school teachers to offer Afterschool programming for all Kindergarten-5th Grade students.  

Mrs. Daria Sanford is the Community School Director and the 21st Century Program director, and has worked for The Leadership Program for 4 years.  She truly enjoys being a part of the PS 179 community and is eager to serve the Kensington Community.
