Afterschool

PS 179 is a Community School, and with it comes the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant, bringing in multiple Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and partnering with school teachers to offer Afterschool programming for all Kindergarten-5th Grade students.  The CBOs which accompany this grant are The Leadership Program, Marquis Studios, and Keys to Abundant Life.

Mr. Greg Loewer Jr. is the Community School Director and the 21st Century Program director, and has worked for The Leadership Program for 9 years.  He truly enjoys being a part of the PS 179 community and is eager to serve the Kensington Community.
