ELA Monthly Theme: Test Sophistication

Build reading stamina by reading 30 minutes each night. BE SURE TO LOG minutes READ!
- In reading, we have been learning the skills that will help us understand informational texts, such as finding the main idea, explaining how text features contribute to our understanding and using context clues to understand the meanings of words and phrases.
- In Writing, we are researching an issue that we care about so that we can formulate our own opinion. We will learn to write opinion essays by organizing reasons and examples that support our view.
Math Monthly Theme
We are learning to name and compare parts of a whole using fractions.
Please continue to practice the times tables as we will continue to assess the children's fluency levels in class. Using flash cards daily will support your child in memorizing facts from 1-10.
